I spent Thanksgiving weekend in Washington DC. The day I shot this outfit I was out and about sightseeing, I visited the White House, the Washington Monument, and did some shopping in Georgetown. This is the second time I have visited the Georgetown area and stopped by the T.J. Maxx (it’s like the American version of Winners but carries much better brands), and I have to say every time I go there I find amazing deals on designer items. It is a department store- you can find it all over the states, but this location is just always really lucky for me! I found some great designer items (Tory Burch, Tahari, Valentino, Michael Kors) for really great prices; I’m still super excited about it!
The weather was not the greatest; it was a little chilly at the beginning of the day but warmed up later on. I absolutely love being a tourist, and when you are sightseeing it is important to dress comfy, but still cute for pictures. It is also important to dress in layers to be prepared for weather changes, I dressed in layers – starting with a wool midi dress, added a leather jacket, a statement necklace (my favourite one at the moment), and finishing off with booties with a little heel, looking put together but still very comfortable for all the walking we did.
