My family and I visited Vancouver over the long weekend to get some wedding shopping done in Surrey (which is just outside of Vancouver). For those of you that don’t know, Surrey has a lot of selection when it comes to Indian bridal wear. I was quite pleased with the selection overall and managed to narrow down all of my outfits (Indian weddings usually consist of a week of festivities so I needed four outfits…I KNOW!). I am feeling relieved that I was able to find everything I needed and am really excited to start thinking about jewelry, hair, and make-up for the full looks to come together.
We initially scheduled three full days of shopping, but finished a day early and got our last day to explore Vancouver! Although I have been there many times, I always love hanging out in the city- it is definitely my favorite city in Canada.
The first few days were pouring rain the whole time, but I didn’t mind because we were busy shopping. We got lucky on the day we decided to be out and about it felt rather spring like. I got to wear my lace-up flats that I have been dying to wear since I got them in the mail a few weeks ago– but it was just too chilly in Calgary for flats. I even stopped to smell the flowers at a local flower stand, which is something that you definitely don’t see here in YYC in mid-February. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for spring!
